How to Make a Field Mandatory

Created by Alan Chris, Modified on Mon, 17 Mar at 3:28 PM by Alan Chris

Ensuring that essential data is collected from your users is critical. In Konnectify, you can easily mark a field as mandatory so that the form will not submit until the field is filled out. This helps maintain data quality and prevents incomplete submissions.

STEPS TO MAKE A FIELD MANDATORY

STEP 1: Log in to your Konnectify account and navigate to the Forms section

STEP 2: Open the form you wish to edit or create a new form using the drag‑and‑drop Smart Form Builder.

Here, we are editing an old form.

STEP 3: Select the Field to Modify

  • Click on the field you want to make mandatory.

  • This action will display the field’s settings or properties panel ( right side of the editor).

STEP 4: Enable the “Required” Setting

  • In the properties panel, look for the ‘Required’ option.

  • Toggle on the 'Required' option. This marks the field with an asterisk or similar indicator, showing that it must be filled out before submission.

STEP 5: Save Your Form

  • Save the changes made to your form.

Making a field mandatory in Konnectify is straightforward with the built‑in settings in the Smart Form Builder. By simply selecting a field and enabling the ‘Required’ option, you can ensure that all essential information is captured before a user submits the form.
