How to preview a Form

Created by Alan Chris, Modified on Tue, 1 Apr at 3:26 PM by Alan Chris

Step 1: Navigate to the Forms

  • Log in to your account using your credentials. After successfully logging in, you’ll be directed to your dashboard or homepage, where all your tools and options are available.

  • Locate and click on the “Forms” tab, which is usually found on the left side of the screen in the main navigation menu. This tab will lead you to the section where all the forms you’ve created or have access to are stored.

Step 2: Select the Form to Preview

  • Once you’ve entered the Forms section, you will see a list or grid of all the forms available. These could be forms you’ve previously created, or forms that have been shared with you.

  • Browse through the list of forms and select the one you want to preview. Simply click on the form to open it, making sure you’ve chosen the correct one.

Step 3: Click the "Preview" Button

  • After selecting the form, you’ll notice several options at the top of your screen.

  • Look for the "Preview" button, which is located at the top-right corner of the screen. This button allows you to see how your form will appear to users when it is live.

  • Click on the "Preview" button to initiate the preview mode. This step is essential for ensuring everything looks and functions correctly before making it available to others.

Step 4: Preview the Form

  • Once you click "Preview," the form will open in a preview mode. This mode mimics the actual form experience, allowing you to interact with the form as if it were live on the internet.

  • Test the form’s functionality, such as filling out the fields, selecting options, and submitting the form. This ensures that everything is working as expected, such as the form logic, field validations, and error messages.

  • Also, review the form's layout and design to ensure it’s visually appealing and user-friendly. Pay attention to things like spacing, text alignment, and overall aesthetic to make sure everything aligns with your goals.

  • This is how Preview looks like

Note:

  • Previewing your form is a critical step in the form creation process. It allows you to test and fine-tune both the design and functionality before it’s made available to others.

  • Take the time to thoroughly test the form in the preview mode, checking for any issues that might impact user experience. This could include things like broken links, incorrect logic, or confusing wording.

  • By previewing your form before publishing it, you ensure it’s fully optimized and ready for use without any surprises after it’s live.
