How to Connect Follow Up Boss to Konnectify

This section explains how to connect your Follow Up Boss account to Konnectify so you can use it as a trigger or action in your workflows.

Prerequisites

Before creating the workflow, ensure you have:

  • A valid Follow Up Boss account
  • Your Follow Up Boss API Key
  • Access to the Konnectify platform
  • Required admin or API permissions in Follow Up Boss
  • Permission to create/manage connections in Konnectify

Step 1: Connect Follow Up Boss in Konnectify

  1. Log in to Konnectify
  2. Click New on the top-right corner and select Connections
  3. Select Follow Up Boss
  4. Enter:
    • Connection Name
      Enter a unique name for your connection.
      Example: my follow up boss connection
      (This name is for reference only and helps distinguish between multiple Follow Up Boss connections within Konnectify.)
    • API Key
      Enter your Follow Up Boss API Key exactly as generated from your Follow Up Boss account settings.
    • X System Key
      Enter your registered X System Key provided by Follow Up Boss for API authentication.
    • X System Name
      Enter your registered X System Name exactly as configured in your Follow Up Boss developer settings.
  5. Click Create Connection

Step 2: Create a New Konnecter

  1. Click New on the top-right corner and select Konnectors
  2. Choose a trigger app (for example: Webhook, Google Forms, CRM, or Follow Up Boss)
  3. Select the required trigger event (for example: New People, Tasks Created, Deals Updated, etc.)
  4. Choose the Follow Up Boss connection you created and click Continue

Step 3: Add and Configure Follow Up Boss Action

  1. Click Action
  2. Select Follow Up Boss
  3. Choose an action (for example: Create People, Create Task, Create Deal, etc.)
  4. Select the Connection and click Continue
  5. Fill all mandatory fields such as:
    • Person Name / Email (for People actions)
    • Deal Name / Stage (for Deal actions)
    • Task Title / Due Date (for Task actions)
    • Call or Message details (for communication actions)
Note: All required fields must be filled with valid values. If any mandatory field is left empty or contains invalid data, the action may fail during execution.

Step 4: Value Mapping and Workflow Testing

  • Map dynamic fields from the trigger output
  • Use static values only when required
  • Run the workflow using sample data
  • Verify the execution status and response from Follow Up Boss

Step 5: Activate Konnector

  • Save the Konnector
  • Turn the workflow ON
  • Perform a real-time test from the trigger source
  • Confirm that the data is reflected in Follow Up Boss
