Konnectify uses the Microsoft Graph API to securely interact with your Microsoft Teams account. The API allows external platforms to create, read, update, and manage teams, channels, chats, messages, users, calendar events, and files programmatically.

Microsoft Teams supports API authentication using:

This section explains how to connect your Microsoft Teams account to Konnectify so you can use Microsoft Teams as a trigger or action in your workflows.
Before creating the workflow, ensure you have:
- A valid Microsoft 365 account
- Admin or required permissions to access Microsoft Teams
- Permission to register or authorize applications in Microsoft Entra ID
- Access to the Konnectify platform
- Permission to create/manage connections in Konnectify
Step 1: Connect Microsoft Teams in Konnectify
- Log in to Konnectify
- Click New on the top-right corner and select Connections
- Select Microsoft Teams
- Click Connect and authorize using your Microsoft 365 account
- Grant the required Microsoft Graph permissions
- Click Create Connection
Step 2: Create a New Konnecter
- Click New on the top-right corner and select Konnectors
- Choose a trigger app (for example: Microsoft Teams, Webhook, CRM, etc.)
- Select the required trigger event (for example: New Message In Channel, New Channel Created, etc.)
- Choose the Microsoft Teams connection you created and click Continue
Step 3: Add and Configure Microsoft Teams Action
- Click Action
- Select Microsoft Teams
- Choose an action (for example: Send Message To Channel)
- Select the Connection and click Continue
- Fill all mandatory fields such as:
- Team ID
- Channel ID
- Chat ID
- Message Content
- Member Details
- Event Details, etc.
Step 4: Value Mapping and Workflow Testing
- Map dynamic fields from the trigger output
- Use static values only when required
- Run the workflow using sample data
- Verify the execution status and response from Microsoft Teams
Step 5: Activate Konnector
- Save the Konnector
- Turn the workflow ON
- Perform a real-time test from the trigger source
- Confirm that the data is reflected in Microsoft Teams
