G2 API Documentation

Konnectify uses the G2 API to securely interact with your G2 account and product data. The API allows external platforms to retrieve reviews, product information, vendor details, discussions, videos, media assets, and Q and A data programmatically.

How to Connect G2 to Konnectify

This section explains how to connect your G2 account to Konnectify so you can use G2 as a trigger or action in your workflows.

Prerequisites

Before creating the workflow, ensure you have:

  • A valid G2 account
  • G2 API credentials (API Key or access token)
  • Required permissions to access product or vendor data
  • Access to the Konnectify platform
  • Permission to create/manage connections in Konnectify

Step 1: Connect G2 in Konnectify

  1. Log in to Konnectify
  2. Click New on the top-right corner and select Connections
  3. Select G2
  4. Enter:
    • Connection Name (e.g., my g2 connection – This name is for reference only and helps distinguish between multiple G2 connections within Konnectify)
    • API Key / Access Token
      Enter the API key or access credentials provided by G2 exactly as issued.
  5. Click Create Connection

Step 2: Create a New Konnecter

  1. Click New on the top-right corner and select Konnectors
  2. Choose a trigger app (for example: G2, Webhook, Google Sheets, etc.)
  3. Select the required trigger event (for example: New Review Added)
  4. Choose the G2 connection you created and click Continue

Step 3: Add and Configure G2 Action

  1. Click Action
  2. Select G2
  3. Choose an action (for example: Find Product Reviews)
  4. Select the Connection and click Continue
  5. Fill all mandatory fields such as:
    • Product ID
    • Vendor ID
    • Category ID
    • Question ID
    • Video ID
      (Depending on the selected action)
Note: All required fields must be filled with valid unique IDs. If any mandatory field is left empty or contains invalid data, the action may fail during execution.

Step 4: Value Mapping and Workflow Testing

  • Map dynamic fields from the trigger/action output
  • Use static values only when required
  • Run the workflow using sample data
  • Verify the execution status and response from G2

Step 5: Activate Konnector

  • Save the Konnector
  • Turn the workflow ON
  • Perform a real-time test from the trigger source
  • Confirm that the data is reflected in the destination application
