Konnectify connects to ElevenLabs using an API Key. You generate this key in your ElevenLabs account and paste it into Konnectify when creating the connection.

How to connect ElevenLabs to Konnectify

Prerequisites

An active ElevenLabs account
An ElevenLabs API key
A Konnectify account and permission to create connections/workflows

Add ElevenLabs to a Workflow

Open your Konnectify Workflow builder.

How does Konnectify authenticate with ElevenLabs?

Konnectify uses API Key authentication. Create an API key in your ElevenLabs account and paste it into the ElevenLabs connection field in Konnectify. Keep this key private and rotate it if you suspect exposure.

Which ElevenLabs plans are supported?

Any plan that provides API access and sufficient quota for text-to-speech should work. If your plan restricts API usage or you run out of characters, the workflow step may fail until limits reset or you upgrade.

How do triggers work for ElevenLabs in Konnectify?

This integration currently includes no ElevenLabs triggers (no polling or webhooks). Start your workflow with a trigger from another app (e.g., a new row, form submission, ticket update), then call ElevenLabs actions to generate audio.

How can I prevent duplicates?

Because the available action generates audio from input text, duplicates typically come from the upstream trigger firing more than once. Use Konnectify best practices such as: storing a processed flag in your source system, using workflow conditions, or adding an idempotency check (for example, “only run if content hash changed”).

What happens if we hit ElevenLabs rate limits or quotas?

If ElevenLabs responds with throttling or quota errors, the Konnectify step may fail for that run. Recommended mitigation: reduce concurrency, add retry with backoff where appropriate, shorten text payloads, and monitor usage/limits in ElevenLabs.

Can I connect multiple ElevenLabs accounts to Konnectify?

Yes. Create separate ElevenLabs connections in Konnectify, each with its own API key. Then choose the right connection per workflow (or per step) depending on the team, brand voice, or environment.

What audio format will “Convert Text to Speech” return?

The returned format depends on ElevenLabs API defaults and/or the configuration available in the action (for example, MP3). If your downstream app requires a specific format, verify output in a test run and convert/transcode downstream if needed.
