API & Authentication

Authentication: OAuth 2.0 authorization
Konnectify connects to ZoomInfo using OAuth 2.0. You provide a Client ID and Client Secret, and Konnectify exchanges them for an access token via ZoomInfo’s token endpoint. Konnectify securely stores connection metadata needed to refresh/renew access (when supported by the provider) and does not expose your secrets in workflow logs.
API capabilities in this connector
  • Search: contacts, companies, intent, news, and scoops
  • Enrichment: contact, company, intent details, news, scoops
  • Account intelligence: technology stack, org chart, corporate hierarchy, hashtags
  • Discovery: lookalike companies/contacts and contact recommendations
  • Insights: funding, leadership/CXO changes, M&A, and other signals (where available)
Important: plan access & rate limits
ZoomInfo API availability, feature coverage (e.g., intent/insights), and rate limits depend on your ZoomInfo subscription. If you see authorization or quota errors, confirm your plan includes API access and the specific endpoints used by your workflow.

How to connect ZoomInfo to Konnectify

Prerequisites
  • A ZoomInfo account with API access enabled
  • Your ZoomInfo Client ID and Client Secret
  • A Konnectify workspace with permission to create connections and workflows
1

Add ZoomInfo to a Workflow

  1. Open Workflows in Konnectify.
  2. Create a new workflow (or open an existing one).
  3. Click Add step and choose ZoomInfo.
2

Authorize via OAuth 2.0 (Client ID + Client Secret)

  1. Select Add new connection.
  2. Enter your ZoomInfo Client ID and Client Secret.
  3. Save the connection. Konnectify will request a token from https://api.zoominfo.com/gtm/oauth/v1/token.
3

Configure the Action

  1. Choose the ZoomInfo action you want (Search, Enrich, Insights, etc.).
  2. Map input fields from previous steps (e.g., email, company name/domain, or ZoomInfo IDs).
  3. Select which outputs you want to pass downstream (e.g., enriched profile fields).
Warning Enrichment results depend on the identifiers you provide. For best match rates, pass stable identifiers (like email, company domain, or ZoomInfo IDs) and normalize inputs (trim whitespace, lowercase emails/domains).
4

Test the Workflow

  1. Run a test with a known contact/company (or sample inputs).
  2. Verify returned fields (e.g., job title, company size, technologies, intent topics).
  3. Confirm downstream mapping to your CRM/warehouse steps.
5

Activate the Workflow

  1. Turn on the workflow.
  2. Monitor the run history for errors and quota usage.
  3. Iterate: refine search filters and enrichment identifiers for higher match rates.

Triggers 0

This ZoomInfo connector currently supports actions only (no triggers). To start a workflow, use another app’s trigger (e.g., “New lead in CRM”) or a Konnectify scheduler, then call ZoomInfo actions to search/enrich.

Tip: Common trigger sources for ZoomInfo enrichment workflows include CRM lead creation, form submissions, inbound emails, or scheduled account reviews.

FAQ

How does authentication work for ZoomInfo in Konnectify?
This connector uses OAuth 2.0 token-based authentication. You enter your ZoomInfo Client ID and Client Secret, and Konnectify exchanges them for an access token using ZoomInfo’s token endpoint. Keep your client secret private and rotate it if it’s ever exposed.
Which ZoomInfo plans are supported?
Any ZoomInfo plan that includes API access and the relevant endpoints (e.g., intent, insights, enrichment) should work. If an action fails with authorization errors, confirm your subscription includes that dataset and API entitlement.
How do triggers work for this integration?
The ZoomInfo connector does not include triggers today. Start your workflow with another app’s trigger (CRM, forms, support tickets, Slack commands) or a Konnectify schedule, then call ZoomInfo actions to search or enrich.
How can I prevent duplicate records in my CRM?
This connector focuses on search/enrichment (no “upsert” action). To prevent duplicates, use a CRM-side “Find” step before create/update, and treat stable identifiers as keys (email for contacts; domain or CRM account ID for companies). You can also store ZoomInfo IDs returned by enrichment and reuse them for future lookups.
What happens if I hit ZoomInfo API rate limits?
If ZoomInfo returns throttling or quota errors, the workflow run will fail for that step. Recommended mitigations: reduce run frequency, batch upstream items, add retries/backoff (where supported), and cache enrichment results (e.g., store ZoomInfo IDs and enriched fields in your CRM/DB to avoid repeated calls).
Can I connect multiple ZoomInfo accounts?
Yes. Create separate ZoomInfo connections in Konnectify (each with its own Client ID/Secret) and select the appropriate connection per workflow or per step.
What identifiers should I use for the best enrichment match rate?
Prefer stable, unique identifiers: contact email (business email) or ZoomInfo Person ID for contacts; company domain or ZoomInfo Company ID for companies. When using names, include additional context (location, industry, website) to reduce ambiguous matches.
