API & Authentication

Authentication method: OAuth 2.0 authorization

Apollo.io connects to Konnectify using OAuth 2.0. During setup, you are redirected to Apollo to approve access, and Konnectify receives secure authorization tokens for the approved connection. Konnectify does not store your Apollo password.

This connector requires an Apollo OAuth application Client ID and Client Secret, then uses Apollo’s authorization and token endpoints to complete the connection.

Based on the available triggers and actions, this integration can work with the following Apollo API capabilities:

  • Contacts and people search, creation, updates, ownership, stages, and enrichment
  • Accounts and organizations search, creation, updates, ownership, enrichment, job postings, and organization details
  • Deals and opportunities creation, updates, and lookup
  • Tasks, notes, outreach emails, news articles, and sequence management
  • Bulk-style operational updates for contact stages, owners, account owners, and sequence enrollment/status controls
Plan and rate limit note Apollo API availability, endpoint access, enrichment credits, sequence controls, and rate limits may vary by your Apollo plan, workspace settings, and API permissions. If an action fails due to permissions or limits, review your Apollo plan and retry after the relevant limit resets.

How to Connect Apollo.io to Konnectify

Prerequisites

  • An active Apollo.io account with access to the required API features
  • An Apollo OAuth Client ID and Client Secret
  • A Konnectify account with permission to create or edit workflows
  • Access to the source and destination apps you want to connect with Apollo.io

Add Apollo.io to a Workflow

  1. In Konnectify, open an existing workflow or create a new one.
  2. Search for Apollo.io in the app selector.
  3. Choose Apollo.io as the trigger app or as an action step.

Authorize via OAuth 2.0

  1. Enter the Apollo OAuth Client ID and Client Secret when prompted.
  2. Click Connect to open the Apollo authorization screen.
  3. Review the permissions and approve access for Konnectify.

Configure the Trigger or Action

  1. Select the Apollo trigger or action you want to use.
  2. Map required fields such as contact IDs, emails, account domains, organization IDs, deal IDs, sequence IDs, owners, statuses, or search filters.
  3. Use data from previous workflow steps to dynamically populate Apollo fields.
Confirm that mapped IDs belong to the same Apollo workspace as the connected account. Cross-workspace IDs may not be found or updated.

Test the Workflow

  1. Run a test to fetch sample trigger data or execute the configured action.
  2. Review the returned Apollo fields and confirm that the mapping is correct.
  3. Adjust filters or field mappings if required.

How does Apollo.io authenticate with Konnectify?
Apollo.io uses OAuth 2.0 authorization. You provide the Apollo Client ID and Client Secret, approve access in Apollo, and Konnectify securely connects using the authorized token flow.
Which Apollo.io plans are supported?
Any Apollo plan that includes the required API and OAuth access can be connected. Some endpoints, enrichment data, sequence controls, and usage quotas may depend on your Apollo subscription and workspace permissions.
How do Apollo.io triggers work in Konnectify?
The available Apollo triggers are polling triggers. Konnectify checks Apollo on a schedule and starts the workflow when it finds new contacts, updated contacts, new accounts, new tasks, or new deals.
How can I prevent duplicate contacts or accounts?
Use Find Contact by email or ID before Create Contact, and use Find Account by domain or ID before Create Account. Add conditional workflow logic so records are only created when a matching Apollo record is not found.
How does Konnectify handle Apollo API rate limits?
If Apollo returns a rate-limit response, the workflow run may pause, retry depending on the workflow configuration, or show an error for review. To reduce rate-limit issues, narrow search filters, avoid unnecessary enrichment calls, and schedule high-volume workflows appropriately.
