What is Facebook Lead Ads?

Facebook Lead Ads lets businesses collect prospect information directly from Facebook and Instagram ads using native lead forms. With Konnectify, you can capture new lead submissions instantly and fetch full lead details using the Facebook Graph API.

This integration is useful for marketing, sales, and productivity workflows where lead form responses need to be routed quickly to downstream systems such as CRMs, spreadsheets, helpdesks, or notification tools.

API & Authentication

OAuth 2.0 authorization

Facebook Lead Ads connects to Konnectify using OAuth 2.0. During setup, you are redirected to Facebook to approve access for your Facebook App and selected business/page permissions. Konnectify does not store your Facebook password; authorization is handled through Facebook's secure OAuth flow.

This connector uses Facebook Graph API v23.0 and requires the Page ID or Asset ID, Client ID, and Client Secret from your Facebook App configuration.

Supported API capabilities

  • Lead retrieval through the leads_retrieval permission
  • Page listing and engagement access using pages_show_list and pages_read_engagement
  • Leadgen webhook subscriptions through page metadata permissions
  • Ads and business context via ads_read, ads_management, and business_management
  • Fetching details for a specific lead using its unique Facebook lead ID
Important: Facebook permissions, app review status, business verification, page access, ad account access, and Meta rate limits can affect which lead data is available. If a request is rate limited or a permission is missing, review your Facebook App settings and retry after the limit window resets.

How to Connect Facebook Lead Ads

Prerequisites

  • A Konnectify account with access to create workflows
  • A Facebook account with access to the relevant Page and lead forms
  • Your Facebook Page ID or Asset ID from your Business lead center or lead form URL parameters
  • A Facebook App Client ID and Client Secret
  • Required Facebook permissions approved and available for your app
1

Add Facebook Lead Ads to a Workflow

  1. Open Konnectify and create a new workflow.
  2. Search for Facebook Lead Ads.
  3. Select it as the trigger app or an action step depending on your workflow design.
2

Authorize via OAuth 2.0

  1. Enter the required Page ID or Asset ID, Client ID, and Client Secret.
  2. Click to connect and sign in through Facebook.
  3. Review and approve the requested permissions for lead retrieval and page access.
3

Configure the Trigger or Action

  1. Choose New Lead to listen for incoming Facebook leadgen webhook events.
  2. Choose Get Lead By ID when you need to fetch the complete details for a known lead ID.
Make sure the Page ID or Asset ID entered in the connection matches the Facebook Page that owns the lead form. A mismatch can prevent webhook events from being routed to the correct Konnectify connection.
4

Test the Workflow

  1. Submit a test lead from a Facebook lead form or use a recent lead ID for testing.
  2. Confirm that Konnectify receives the lead event or returns the expected lead details.
  3. Map the lead fields to the next steps in your workflow.
5

Activate the Workflow

  1. Review your workflow steps and field mappings.
  2. Turn the workflow on.
  3. Monitor initial runs to confirm new Facebook leads are processed as expected.

FAQ

How does Facebook Lead Ads authenticate with Konnectify?
The connector uses OAuth 2.0. You enter your Page ID or Asset ID, Client ID, and Client Secret, then approve access through Facebook. Konnectify does not store your Facebook password.
Which Facebook plans or accounts are supported?
You need access to a Facebook Page and lead forms that are eligible for lead retrieval through the Facebook Graph API. Some permissions may require Meta App Review, business verification, or appropriate Page and Business Manager roles.
How does the New Lead trigger work?
New Lead is a webhook trigger. Konnectify creates a Facebook Graph API webhook subscription and listens for leadgen events. When a new lead is generated from a connected Facebook lead form, the workflow can run instantly.
How can I prevent duplicate Facebook leads?
This connector does not include a native upsert action. To prevent duplicates, use the Facebook lead ID as a unique identifier in downstream apps or add lookup/upsert logic later in your Konnectify workflow.
How are Facebook API rate limits handled?
Facebook applies rate limits based on app, business, page, and API usage. If Facebook returns a rate limit response, reduce request volume, avoid unnecessary lead lookups, and retry after the applicable limit window.
Can I connect multiple Facebook Pages or accounts?
Yes. Create separate Konnectify connections for different Facebook Pages, assets, or app credentials. Use a clear connection name so you can identify which Page ID or Asset ID each workflow uses.
Why is the Page ID or Asset ID required?
Konnectify uses the Page ID or Asset ID to map incoming Facebook webhook events to the correct connection. The webhook account key is matched against the Facebook event entry ID, so the value must correspond to the Page that owns the lead form.
