What is Incident.io?
Incident.io is an incident management platform designed to help teams respond to incidents, coordinate work, learn from failures, and improve operational resilience. It is commonly used by engineering, support, and operations teams to manage incidents, alerts, escalations, updates, and related external resources.
With Konnectify, you can connect Incident.io to your alerting tools, ticketing systems, support platforms, project management apps, and internal workflows so incident response steps happen automatically and consistently.

• Fetch and list alerts connected to response workflows
• Create, cancel, and monitor escalations
API & authentication
Authentication method: API Key authentication
The Incident.io connector uses an API key to authorize requests. When creating the connection in Konnectify, enter your Incident.io API key in the API Key field. Konnectify securely uses this key to make authorized API calls to your Incident.io account.
Make sure the API key has access to the Incident.io resources you want to automate, such as incidents, alerts, attachments, escalations, and incident updates.
API capabilities supported by this connector
- Create, update, get, and search incidents.
- Create, list, and delete incident attachments for external resources.
- Get and list Incident.io alerts with filtering support.
- List incident updates and incident-alert relationships.
- Create, get, cancel, and list escalations.
Note: Available API endpoints, rate limits, and permissions may vary based on your Incident.io plan, organization settings, and API key permissions. If a request fails, confirm that your key has the required access and that your account has not exceeded API limits.
For endpoint-level details, refer to the
official Incident.io API documentation.
How to connect Incident.io to Konnectify
Prerequisites
- An active Incident.io account.
- An Incident.io API key with permissions for the resources you want to automate.
- A Konnectify account with access to create and activate workflows.
- Any external apps you want to connect, such as Jira, Zendesk, PagerDuty, Slack, or your monitoring tools.
Add Incident.io to a Workflow
- Open Konnectify and create a new workflow.
- Add a trigger from another app, scheduler, webhook, or any supported source.
- Select Incident.io as the action app when you need to create, update, retrieve, or manage incident response data.
Authorize via API Key authentication
- Choose or create an Incident.io connection.
- Paste your Incident.io API key into the required API Key field.
- Save the connection and allow Konnectify to validate it.
Configure the Trigger or Action
- Select the Incident.io action, such as Create Incident, Create Attachment, or Create Escalation.
- Map fields from earlier workflow steps into the Incident.io action fields.
- Use IDs returned by previous Incident.io actions when updating, retrieving, attaching to, or cancelling resources.
Important: If you create a retrospective incident, Incident.io may not announce it in Slack. Review the selected incident mode before activating automated incident creation.
Test the Workflow
- Run a test using sample data from your trigger app.
- Confirm the expected Incident.io record is created, updated, fetched, listed, or cancelled.
- Review error messages and adjust field mappings if required.
Activate the Workflow
- Turn on the workflow once the test results are correct.
- Monitor the workflow run history in Konnectify.
- Update mappings when your Incident.io configuration, custom fields, or external systems change.
Triggers
0
This Incident.io connector currently includes 0 native triggers. To automate Incident.io actions, start workflows using triggers from other apps, scheduled workflows, webhooks, or Konnectify-supported event sources.
For example, you can trigger a workflow when a monitoring alert is received, a support ticket is created, or a scheduled check runs, then use Incident.io actions to create incidents, attach resources, or escalate responders.

FAQ
How does Incident.io authentication work in Konnectify?
Incident.io uses API Key authentication in Konnectify. Create or copy an API key from your Incident.io account, then paste it into the API Key field when setting up the connection.
Which Incident.io plans are supported?
Any Incident.io plan that provides API access and the required resource permissions should work. Some endpoints, limits, or features may depend on your Incident.io subscription and organization configuration.
How do Incident.io triggers work?
This connector currently does not include native Incident.io triggers. You can still automate Incident.io by starting workflows from other apps, webhooks, or schedules, then adding Incident.io actions.
How can I prevent duplicate incidents or attachments?
Use search or list actions before creating new records. For example, use Search Incidents By Parameters to check whether a matching incident already exists, or List Attachments to confirm an external resource is not already attached.
How does Konnectify handle Incident.io rate limits?
If Incident.io returns a rate limit response, workflow execution may be delayed, retried, or marked as failed depending on the workflow configuration and response type. For high-volume workflows, filter input data and avoid unnecessary list or search calls.
Can I connect multiple Incident.io accounts?
Yes. You can create separate Incident.io connections in Konnectify using different API keys. Select the appropriate connection in each workflow step based on the Incident.io organization or environment you want to automate.
Will retrospective incidents be announced in Slack?
No. According to the Create Incident action behavior, if the incident mode is set to retrospective, the new incident will not be announced in Slack. Use the appropriate incident mode for live response workflows.
