API & Authentication

Zinnect secures automated workflow connections using a dual-credential protocol. To establish a secure integration, you will need to generate and provide both an API Key and an Access Key from your Zinnect account workspace. This ensures Konnectify only acts on authorized requests.

This credential configuration allows Konnectify to securely access your Zinnect CRM database. Your keys act as an encrypted handshake, letting your workflows search, create, modify, or remove records according to your design. You can revoke or refresh these keys at any time through your Zinnect administration settings.

Plan Requirements:

Ensure your Zinnect subscription level has external API integrations enabled. Standard rate limits apply to API requests to protect database performance.

For comprehensive details on key generation, consult the official Zinnect Developer Documentation.

How to Connect

Prerequisites: Active Zinnect account, access to your admin dashboard, and your generated API Key and Access Key.
1

Add Zinnect to a Workflow

Open your Konnectify workflow builder, add a new step, and select Zinnect from the application library. Since Zinnect is optimized for action steps, you can set it as the destination app.

2

Authorize via Credentials

When prompted, input your Zinnect API Key and Access Key. Give the connection a clear, recognizable label (e.g., "Zinnect Production") so you can manage multiple environments easily.

3

Configure the Action

Select your desired action (such as creating a customer or adding a task) and map relevant data from your workflow trigger into the Zinnect data fields.

Important: When using record modification actions (like Update Customer), ensure you map the unique record ID from a preceding search step to target the correct contact.
4

Test the Workflow

Execute a test run within Konnectify. This sends a sample payload to Zinnect to verify that your fields map correctly and the CRM receives the data without formatting errors.

5

Activate the Workflow

Once the test completes successfully, toggle the workflow to Active. Konnectify will now automatically process and sync your selected events in the background.

FAQ

What credentials do I need to connect Zinnect?
To establish a connection, you will need to enter both your Zinnect API Key and your Access Key. You can generate these keys from your Zinnect developer or account administration settings page.
Which Zinnect subscription plans support this integration?
This integration requires API access to write and read data. Please check your Zinnect subscription plan to ensure that external API integrations and third-party developer access are enabled on your account.
Does Zinnect support real-time workflow triggers?
Zinnect operates as an action-only connector in Konnectify. This means you use other application triggers (e.g., forms, spreadsheets, or billing systems) to initiate workflows, and then use Zinnect's actions to execute updates inside your CRM.
How can I prevent duplicate customers or contacts?
You can use the "Search Contact by Email" or "Search Customer by Email" actions as a preliminary step in your workflow. If a record is returned, configure your workflow to update the existing ID instead of creating a duplicate profile.
What are the rate limits for the Zinnect integration?
Zinnect applies standard API rate limits based on your subscription tier. If your automated workflows process high volumes of updates and hit these limits, Konnectify will automatically queue and retry failed requests once the limit window resets.
Can I connect multiple Zinnect accounts to Konnectify?
Yes. You can authorize multiple Zinnect connections within Konnectify by using distinct, descriptive labels during the setup phase. This allows you to route records across different CRM instances or business environments.
How do dynamic dropdowns work for tasks and opportunities?
When configuring actions like "Create Task" or "Create Opportunity", Konnectify queries your active Zinnect configuration (including any linked Apptivo system preferences) to dynamically populate your custom dropdown fields directly inside the builder.
