API & Authentication

Secure Private Token Authorization

Factors uses a Private Token to authorize integration requests. This token acts as a secure key, allowing Konnectify to safely retrieve chronological account journeys from your Factors project without exposing your master account credentials or requiring complex OAuth setups.

Required Credential: api_token (Private Token)

By authenticating with your Private Token, Konnectify gains read-only access to your Factors project's chronological activity data, preserving the security of your analytical dashboards and tracking configurations.

Plan Requirements

API access and Private Token generation may vary depending on your active Factors plan. Please review your Factors subscription details or contact your Factors account manager to ensure API integrations are enabled for your project.

For complete developer references, consult the official Factors API Documentation.

How to Connect

Prerequisites Checklist
  • An active Factors account with access to a tracking project.
  • Your unique Factors Private Token (found in your Factors Project Settings).
  • A Konnectify account to build and run the workflow.
1

Add Factors to a Workflow

Log into your Konnectify dashboard, navigate to the workflow builder, and add Factors as an action step within your automation sequence.

2

Authorize via Private Token

When prompted, enter your Factors Private Token into the authentication field.

Where is my token? In your Factors dashboard, click the gear icon (Settings) in the bottom-left corner, navigate to Integrations, and copy your Private Token.
3

Configure the Action

Select the "Get Account Journey" action and map dynamic fields from your preceding trigger step (such as mapping a CRM account domain to the domain input field).

Configuration Tip: Ensure that the account domain field in your trigger app produces clean domains (e.g., acme.com) without https:// prefixes to ensure Factors matches the account correctly.
4

Test the Workflow

Run a test inside Konnectify using a real account domain. Verify that the output payload returns the chronological list of events and touchpoints as expected.

5

Activate the Workflow

Turn on your workflow. Konnectify will now automatically retrieve chronological customer journeys from Factors whenever your trigger event occurs.

Triggers 0

Factors is currently an action-focused integration on Konnectify.

How to initiate Factors automations

Since Factors specializes in retrieving rich customer journey data on demand, you can initiate workflows using triggers from other systems—such as CRM updates (HubSpot, Salesforce), support ticket creations (Zendesk), or messaging events (Slack). Once triggered, Konnectify immediately runs the Factors action to pull the required intelligence.

Actions 1

Configure the following action to retrieve in-depth account intelligence inside your automated pipelines:

 Account Intelligence 1 action
Get Account Journey

Retrieves the chronological timeline of user activities for an account domain, optionally filtered by time range, event name, or user name. Use this to pull complete, step-by-step histories of website visits, content downloads, and product milestones.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I locate my Factors Private Token?
To find your token, log into your Factors project dashboard. Click the gear icon (Settings) in the bottom-left navigation bar, go to Integrations, and locate the API/Private Token section. Copy this token and paste it directly into Konnectify's authorization field when setting up your connection.
Are there any subscription requirements to use the Factors API?
Yes, access to external API integrations and Private Token generation depends on your Factors subscription plan. Standard starter plans may restrict API capabilities. Please review your Factors billing settings or check with your Factors account representative to confirm API usage is enabled.
Can I filter the account journey by specific criteria?
Yes. The "Get Account Journey" action allows optional configuration filters. You can restrict the retrieved timeline by specific time ranges, filter by particular event names (e.g., only tracking "Form Submissions"), or isolate activities associated with a single user name within that account.
How are API rate limits handled during high-volume syncs?
Konnectify automatically respects Factors API rate limits to prevent request failures. If your workflow triggers multiple simultaneous requests, Konnectify manages the execution queue seamlessly. To prevent hitting Factors limits during bulk operations, we recommend spacing out your source workflow triggers.
Can I connect multiple Factors projects to Konnectify?
Yes. You can authorize multiple Factors connections inside Konnectify by adding unique credentials with different labels (e.g., "Factors - Project US" and "Factors - Project EU"). When configuring your workflows, simply select the specific project connection you wish to pull data from.
What kind of activity events are returned in the journey?
The retrieved timeline returns all chronological events captured by your Factors tracking script for that account. This typically includes website page views, referral sources, form submissions, custom analytical events, feature clicks, and any marketing touchpoint data mapped to that account domain within your Factors dashboard.
