What is BigCommerce Account?

The BigCommerce Account integration manages the high-level corporate and user structure of your BigCommerce storefronts. It allows enterprise merchants to programmatically manage team access, assign users to specific store profiles, and handle subscription checkouts via the GraphQL API. By connecting your corporate account to Konnectify, you can automate administrative security tasks and streamline storefront provisioning.

API & Authentication

Authentication Method: API Key / Token

BigCommerce Account uses a secure token-based authentication method. To connect your account, you will need your unique Account UUID and a valid Auth Token (X-Auth-Token) generated from your BigCommerce Account Manager portal. This ensures Konnectify can safely perform user and checkout operations on your behalf without ever seeing or storing your password.

Required Credentials:
  • Account UUID: Your unique corporate account identifier (e.g., 982648da-56dd-4db1-b26c-0681d9051d0b).
  • Auth Token (X-Auth-Token): Your secure administrative API token.
IMPORTANT SECURITY NOTE

Ensure that the API token generated in your BigCommerce Account Manager has sufficient administrative permissions to manage users, stores, and accounts. Without these permissions, user provisioning and checkout creation actions will fail.

For more details on generating your API credentials, refer to the official BigCommerce Account API Documentation.

How to Connect

Prerequisites:
  • An active BigCommerce corporate account with Account Manager access.
  • Your Account UUID and a valid X-Auth-Token.
1

Add BigCommerce Account to a Workflow

Log into your Konnectify dashboard, start a new workflow, and select BigCommerce Account as an action step.

2

Authorize via API Credentials

When prompted, enter your Account UUID and Auth Token (X-Auth-Token). Click Authorize to securely link your corporate account.

3

Configure the Action

Select the action you want to run (e.g., Add User to Store) and map the required fields (such as User ID, Store ID, or email addresses) from your workflow's trigger step.

Warning: Ensure the user data mapped from previous steps is validated. Invalid emails or non-existent Account UUIDs will cause user creation actions to fail.
4

Test the Workflow

Run a test inside Konnectify to verify that the administrative action successfully executes in your BigCommerce Account portal.

5

Activate the Workflow

Turn on your workflow. Konnectify will now automatically execute your BigCommerce Account administrative actions in real time whenever triggered.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does BigCommerce Account authenticate with Konnectify?
This integration uses secure API credentials. You must provide your unique Account UUID and an Auth Token (X-Auth-Token) generated from your BigCommerce Account Manager portal. This token acts as a secure key, allowing Konnectify to perform administrative tasks without needing your login password.
 Which BigCommerce plans are supported?
This integration supports BigCommerce Enterprise and Multi-Store accounts that utilize the BigCommerce Account GraphQL API for user and store management. Please verify that your BigCommerce contract grants access to the Account Manager and administrative GraphQL endpoints.
Are there any triggers available for BigCommerce Account?
Currently, the BigCommerce Account integration is focused on administrative actions (managing users, store assignments, and checkouts). To automate these actions, you can use trigger events from other applications supported by Konnectify, such as HR systems, CRM portals, or custom webhooks.
How are API rate limits handled?
BigCommerce enforces rate limits on its Account GraphQL API. If your workflow triggers a volume of actions that exceeds these limits, Konnectify automatically pauses and retries the failed requests using an intelligent exponential backoff system, ensuring your data is safely processed without loss.
Can I connect multiple BigCommerce Accounts to Konnectify?
Yes. You can authorize multiple unique BigCommerce Account connections within Konnectify by using distinct Account UUIDs and Auth Tokens. This allows agencies and enterprise administrators to manage user access across separate corporate entities seamlessly.
What permissions must my API token have?
Your generated X-Auth-Token must have full read and write permissions for corporate users and store mappings. If the token is restricted to read-only access, actions like Create User or Add User to Store will fail with authorization errors.
How does "Remove User from Account" differ from "Remove User from Store"?
Remove User from Store revokes access to a specific storefront profile while keeping the user within your corporate directory. Remove User from Account is a complete offboarding action that deletes the user profile entirely from your corporate BigCommerce Account and revokes access across all linked storefronts.
