API & Authentication
Secure OAuth 2.0 Integration
Sentry uses OAuth 2.0 authorization to grant Konnectify secure access to your organizations, projects, and issues. This setup guarantees that Konnectify can programmatically execute actions on your behalf without ever seeing or storing your Sentry user passwords or master API tokens.
During the authorization process, you will be prompted to select your Sentry Organization's API Region and input your unique Sentry Organization Slug and Client ID. This establishes a localized, secure tunnel matching your data residency preferences.
Authentication Requirements:
- Sentry API Region: Select Global (sentry.io), United States (us.sentry.io), or Germany (de.sentry.io).
- Organization Slug: The unique identifier of your organization as displayed in your Sentry dashboard URL.
- Client ID: Your Sentry integration client identifier used to authorize the OAuth connection.
For comprehensive API specifications, refer to the Official Sentry API Documentation.
How to Connect
Prerequisites:
Ensure you have administrative privileges in your Sentry organization to approve developer integrations and generate a Client ID.
Add Sentry to a Workflow
- Log in to your Konnectify dashboard and create a new workflow.
- Add an action step and select Sentry from your app directory.
Authorize Sentry Connection
- Select your Sentry API Region (Global, United States, or Germany).
- Enter your Organization Slug and your integration's Client ID.
- Click Connect to launch Sentry's secure OAuth screen, and grant the required workspace permissions.
Configure the Action
- Choose your desired Sentry action from the actions list (e.g., Assign Issue or Create Monitor).
- Map dynamic properties from your workflow trigger into Sentry's data fields.
Configuration Tip:
Make sure that project slugs and environment identifiers exactly match their Sentry dashboard spelling to prevent routing errors.
Test the Workflow Step
- Click Test Step to send a safe, simulated payload to Sentry.
- Verify that the action executed correctly in your Sentry account.
Activate the Workflow
- Toggle your workflow status to Active.
- Your Sentry automation is now live and running in the background.

Frequently Asked Questions
What authentication method does Sentry use?
▾
Sentry utilizes secure OAuth 2.0 authorization. During the setup process in Konnectify, you will select your API region (Global, US, or Germany) and provide your Sentry Client ID. This redirects you to a secure login prompt where you authorize Konnectify to perform actions on your behalf without sharing your password.
Which Sentry subscription plans are supported?
▾
All standard Sentry plans (Developer, Team, Business, and Enterprise) are supported. However, access to certain advanced API features, such as listing organization members or managing repositories, may vary depending on your Sentry organization permissions and active subscription tier.
Are there triggers available for Sentry in Konnectify?
▾
This integration is currently action-only, meaning it does not feature native polling or webhook triggers. You can trigger your workflows using other connected platforms (such as your project management or database systems) and use Sentry's 57 actions to automate your incident response and configurations.
How does Sentry handle rate limits during massive error spikes?
▾
Sentry applies API rate limits based on your organization's subscription plan. If a workflow runs into a rate limit error, Konnectify will automatically handle the retry backoff logic to ensure your release updates, project creations, or issue assignments complete successfully.
Can I manage multiple Sentry organizations in Konnectify?
▾
Yes. You can authorize multiple Sentry connections within Konnectify by using different Client IDs and Organization Slugs. This allows you to manage distinct staging, production, or client environments under separate workflows.
What is the difference between Sentry's membership ID and user ID?
▾
When managing Sentry organization members, the membership ID represents a user's specific relationship and permissions within that organization, while the user ID is their global Sentry account identifier. Ensure you map the correct ID in your workflows.
Can I monitor cron jobs or background tasks using Sentry and Konnectify?
▾
Yes. You can programmatically manage your Sentry cron and heartbeat monitors. Using the Monitors actions, you can create, retrieve, update, and delete monitors across your organization's environments to oversee background executions automatically.
